Confidence Through Plastic Surgery? Gross.

It stumbles me to think that people have the right to tell others how thier confidence should be limited to. People seem to think that they know how everyone feels, and magically, they know a proper solution to everything-even to self consiousness. As the years passes by, more and more people are getting plastic surgery. I, for one, have no problem with it. With one exception of course. If it is for others, and not for the own person's sake, that is just a recipe for disaster. But, if it makes you feel happy, and more able to face the world with a smiling face everyday, go for it. Who am I to tell you that you should look at the world through a blue lense? Who am I to tell you that your confidence is shot? Who am I to tell you that that nose is going to be stuck their for the rest of your life, no matter what? It may be hard for some people to understand that others struggle with insecurities, and that they can't see the other side of things. It may be sad, but what is sad is other people frowning on others trying to seek happiness. I do not think that plastic surgery makes people seem fake. A {huge} boost of confidence will surely not turn someone into being someone they are not. Rather, it will help them move foward, so that they can live better. Isn't that the goal in life? To be happy? Maby there are those out their that plastic surgery is what is making others in fact, have plastic surgery. But, in my opinion, that is irrelevent, because my argument is not the harmful effects of plastic surgery. It is the that the way that someone feels beautiful should not be limited to by what others think is wrong (of course, lets hope for it to be morally correct). I hope that people will be more accepting towards others decisions, and not be so judging towards the last resort of plastic surgery. What is better though, is people accepting the way they look, and that it is never the end of the world.

Hey, i think you make a really good point. I dont know if you've ever seen this show called "Nip/Tuck" but i must say it is my favorite show. Its the story ( fictional ) of two plastic surgeons in california who deal with million of people who face many different problems. This show made me want to be a plastic surgeon. Although there are aspects in which plastic surgery is solely for the purpose of outward appearance i think that its up to the person and their personal life that they do what makes them happy. But there are also situation of reconstructive plastic surgery. Overall i think you brought up a really good point.
